I used the Vinyl ReNu shutter kit you sent me to try. Once I cleaned the vinyl siding with your product and applied the Vinyl ReNu my fading and splotchy vinyl looked brand new. It is amazing the difference it made.

The painters just finished yesterday. WOW!!! I actually think my shutters look better than the day they were installed. After 10 years of installation, my dark green, raised panel, vinyl shutters were looking tired and faded and they detracted from what is, otherwise, a very beautiful house. My painter, who has over 30 years experience, told me that he could match the color and just paint them but I was uneasy about the eventual outcome of putting paint over vinyl. So I decided to go to the one place that seems to have all of the answers, the internet. On various home improvement forums, I found several mentions of a product called Vinyl ReNu as an alternative to paint. After contacting the company, One Source Organics, I was informed that a new product called Shutter ReNu was being launched shortly. I was assured that this product had the same rejuvenating affect on shutters that Vinyl ReNu has on siding. Each kit consists of a bottle of cleaner that is mixed with water in a 10 to 1 ratio, a bottle of "ReNu" solution, and a soft bristle paint brush. One kit contains enough product to cover 7 sets of average size shutters. I promptly ordered 2 kits. Fortunately, my kits arrived just days before the painter was to begin work. When I showed him the product, I could tell he was skeptical that anything that looked like watered down skim milk was going to breath life back into my faded shutters. Since, as he said, I was the boss, he would give it a try. We mixed the cleaning solution in a trigger spray bottle and with scrub brush in hand, he went to work. As the bottle instructs, it is important not to allow the cleaner to dry on the shutters so after a through scrubbing, the shutters were hosed down with plenty of clean water. He decided to allow the shutters to dry overnight and to apply the ReNu solution the next day. I could already tell that the shutters looked better after just the cleaning. The following day, the painter applied the Shutter ReNu to the first shutter. In minutes, the milky appearance began to disappear as it dried and right before our very eyes, the fading and discoloration vanished leaving the deep rich hunter green color that I remembered. The bottle recommends applying two coats so after approximately 15 minutes, the painter applied the second coat. Again, in utter amazement, we watched as the second coat dried to a glossy shine which only deepen the color even more. As I turned to look at the painter, he stood there, hands on hips, jaw dropped, shaking his head repeating "I can't believe this". I said "you were skeptical about this weren't you?" He said "yes I was. I never thought this stuff would ever work but I figured you were the boss and I'd put it on if you wanted me to. I am totally shocked. Those shutters are beautiful. This product is truly amazing!" After doing the happy dance, he asked me for the ordering information and told me he plans to recommend Shutter ReNu to his other customers. He also plans on telling his supplier so that they can recommend Shutter ReNu to customers who, like me, want to cover their faded shutters but don't want to paint them. He is now a true believer. I think they look better now than they did when they were originally installed. Thank you Shutter ReNu and One Source Organics for a truly amazing product.
