How often should I apply DeckMAX Green to my deck?
As often as you like to maintain your decks optimum beauty. Typically our customers use DeckMAX Green as their yearly cleaning process.
Is DeckMAX Green good for the environment?
DeckMAX Green uses powerful ingredients found in nature. No need to worry about hazardous or toxic chemicals coming in contact with your family or pets after it is dry. However, until it is completely dry, keep children and pets off of deck.
What do I need to do to prepare my deck for DeckMAX Green?
Spot clean any obvious stains such as grease or dirt with a degreaser. Hard to remove stains such as rust can be gently brushed with a dry wire brush prior to applying DeckMAX Green. If stain persists rub lightly with DeckMAX Green on a rag.
What is cellular PVC decking and how is it different from composite decking?
Cellular PVC decking was formerly considered composite decking. In most cases PVC is a much higher end product than standard composite decking. Composite decking now is mostly made up of cellulosic (wood dust) material and polypropylene or other recycled plastics. DeckMAX Green was developed for PVC decking and will not bring back color of faded polypropylene or other recycled plastics. Consult with your manufacturer to determine the make up of your deck and to see if DeckMAX Green is right for your deck.
Does applying DeckMAX Green maintain my deck's stain resistance?
DeckMAX Green should not change the stain-resistant qualities of your deck. However, we do not make any guarantees as to the stain-resistance of any deck or any deck conditioned with DeckMAX Green.
How long does DeckMAX Green take to dry?
Depending on the air temperature and the humidity, DeckMAX Green should dry to the touch within minutes. It will be ready to be walked on and the furniture replaced within approximately 30 minutes.
What are the best weather conditions for applying DeckMAX Green?
DeckMAX Green works best when the board temperature on your deck is between 70 and 100 degrees F.
How should I protect areas adjoining my deck?
If DeckMAX Green is applied with sponge mop there will be little over spill. We recommend covering any ornamental plants, lawn furniture, fish ponds, etc. and keeping children and pets out of reach of product while it is still wet.
How many sq. ft. will DeckMAX Green cover?
One 64 oz. container of DeckMAX Green will cover up to approximately 500 square feet of deck floor when applied according to the application instructions.
How should I store DeckMAX Green?
For best performance, store in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight. Do not freeze.
For how long can I store my DeckMAX Green?
For optimal performance, unopened DeckMAX Green can be stored as directed for up to 12 months. Opened DeckMAX Green can be stored for up to 6 months.
